APTRA PLANS NEXT ROUND OF INSIGHTS SEMINARS

The Asia Pacific Travel Retail Association (APTRA) and KPMG will shortly invite registrations for the next round of research seminars which provide actionable data for the Association’s members.

The 2017 APTRA KPMG Insights Seminar series, which is open to members and other interested parties on a space available basis, kicked off in Singapore on 10th May with a breakfast workshop attended by over 60 people.

The next seminars will take place in Seoul and Shanghai during the week of 27 November (precise details to be confirmed), followed by the final seminar of the year in Hong Kong on the afternoon of 30th November at KPMG’s Hysan Place offices. Full details will be published at www.aptra.asia.

Delegates attending the forthcoming Insights Seminars will hear summaries of recent research conducted in the Asia Pacific region, most recently APTRA m1nd-set reports on duty free consumer characteristics in India, Japan and Korea, and a topical study into ecommerce by KPMG. They will also have an opportunity to network and socialise with fellow participants including APTRA Board Members.

The APTRA KPMG Insights Seminars, and the research reports from which they derive their content, are some of the most valuable services according to members.

Five more companies have signed up as members of APTRA in recent weeks, keen to benefit from research reports, advocacy support and fellowship within the regional association. The new subscribers, which bring the membership total to 126, are Aer Rianta, Heineken, Kansai Airports. Noble Elegance Holding Ltd / Fine Global and Peller Estates Ice Wine.

APTRA is encouraging all its members to support the TFWA 70th anniversary of duty free campaign by displaying prominently wherever possible online and onsite the campaign visuals including “70 years of duty free – bringing jobs to local communities”, “… enabling transport improvements”, “…making travel more accessible” and “…offering great brands at great prices”.
