31 MARCH 2026 APTRA (the Asia Pacific Travel Retail Association) is pleased to announce several news updates.
Following the success of last week’s APTRA India Conference in Bangalore, held in partnership with Bangalore International Airport Limited and attended by 270 delegates, the dates and venue for the 2027 India conference are confirmed as 16-18 February 2027 in the world heritage site, ‘pink’ city, of Jaipur. Further details will be shared in a few weeks.
Meanwhile, APTRA will host the return of its popular sell-out networking lunch in Singapore on Sunday 10 May 2026 at the Tanglin Club. The cost per person is US$120 and numbers are limited to 150, meaning anyone interested in attending should book now to avoid disappointment.

In further news, APTRA confirms the board appointments of Sarah Branquinho, representing Tax Free World Association (TFWA) and Jean Hung, representing Changi Airport Group, following the retirement of Chandra Mahtani. They join Nick Mogford of Loch Lomond Group in recent changes to the board following personnel movements at their respective organisations. Board positions are held by member organisations and they will serve as representatives on the board until the end of the current term in May 2027, at which point all board positions come up for a scheduled election among APTRA members. Any full member organisation is entitled to put forward a representative for election.
Sunil Tuli, President of APTRA and Group Chief Executive of King Power Group (Hong Kong), comments. “We are delighted to welcome Sarah, Jean and Nick to the APTRA board. Their deep industry knowledge and strategic insights will be valuable as we continue to support and advance the travel retail industry in the region.”
The APTRA Board comprises Sunil Tuli as President, Erin Lillis as Secretary and Susana Hueso as Treasurer. Additional members are Sarah Branquinho of TFWA, Freda Cheung of Avolta, Ashish Chopra of GMR, Hervé Ducros of Chanel, Rajshree Dugar of Heinemann Asia Pacific, Antonio Duva of Pernod Ricard Travel Retail, Jean Hung of Changi Airport Group, Nick Mogford of Loch Lomond Group, Lucy Thomas of Auckland International Airport.
