APTRA Insights Seminar Reveals Results of Latest Research

Members of the Asia Pacific Travel Retail Association (APTRA) were eager to learn more about APTRA latest research report. A research report that delves into the new emerging demographics that are spending more and traveling more. The shopping characteristics of ‘Tomorrow’s Duty-Free Customers Asia Pacific’ was staged at a special Insights Seminar on 21 November in Singapore.

APTRA members attended the event at which Michael Freely, COO Horizon Consumer Science presented highlights from the latest research conducted for APTRA, exploring the markets which are evolving as key areas of opportunity for travel retail, the report identifies these as “emerging customers”

Guillaume Sachet, Partner KPMG Singapore, advocated the use of a combination of data analytics and customer profiling to redefine the customer journey in his presentation ‘Customer Obsessed – striving towards customer experience excellence in a digital age’.

Hosting the event, Grant Fleming, President APTRA, shared with delegates the top-line results of the new ‘Economic Impact Report Asia Pacific’, the study commissioned jointly by APTRA and the Duty-Free World Council to provide insight to the economic impact of the duty-free and travel retail industry across the Asia Pacific.

Both the Economic Impact Report Duty-Free & Travel Retail APAC, plus the Tomorrow’s Duty-Free Shopper Report, are available to APTRA members via the ‘members-only’ section of the
