APTRA publishes latest research on Japanese shoppers


APTRA has published the latest in the 5 part series of reports planned for 2017. After the Indian shoppers, Chinese tier 1 city shoppers and Chinese tier 2 and 3 city shoppers reports earlier this year the latest study reveals insights on travellers from Japan and their behaviour in the airport duty free shops.

The report, produced by APTRA’s research partner m1nd-set, looks in depth at various segments among the Japanese shopper as well as macro-economic insights from m1nd-set’s Business Intelligence Service. The report covers a wide variety of behavioural insights including overall footfall and conversion rates, categories visited and purchased, planned versus impulse purchases, purchase drivers, perceived value for money, paths to purchase and reasons for not shopping, among others.

The report is available to members for download from the members’ section.

The next and final of the year will be released in November and will focus on travellers from South Korea.
